Elise Wunder is a proud Colorado native who has been singing since her chubby little legs first learned how to walk. Her voice has been a natural and automatic expression throughout her lifetime. When she was 15, after years of enrapture from listening her big brother playing Metallica riffs on acoustic guitar, she decided she was going to learn. Her brother taught her the D major chord along with some power chords and she was off. After participating in multiple bands in her early/mid twenties, Elise decided to focus on her solo career. She has been infiltrating Northern Colorado, climbing up the ladder step by step. She self-produced her first 11 song “LP In the Darkness of My Light” which was released in May of 2015.
In September of 2015, Elise was diagnosed with vocal nodules. This inspired her to go on sabbatical. So, in October, she loaded up her blue Subaru with 5 guitars, one keyboard, one accordion and a few personal belongings and drove out to the magical mystical archipelago of San Juan Islands, Washington. After much needed vocal rest and healing, she rolled back into her home base of Fort Collins in December of 2016 with a new perspective on life and a completely new understanding of singing, speaking and song servitude. She will be in the studio in June to record her upcoming EP, Desert Lonely.
Elise hasn’t lost momentum. She is proud to have kicked off 2016 being featured on the cover of the local Scene Magazine and is excited for what the year will bring.
